At last, Spring is here... one of our favourite times of year! The cold and dark winter is passing and the sun is breaking through to reveal bulbs of promise. Ealing Green is scattered with lilac freesia's, and the Studios are buzzing with activity. We have mexciting developments to share with you, and hope you enjoy reading them!

An Exile in Paradise

In Autumn 2007 Lear Productions approached Blueberry to find them an editor with the right sensitivity, creative eye and technical edge to provide talent and kit for a remarkable series of films on Edward Lear, writer of The Owl and The Pussy Cat. The series celebrates the life and work of Lear, a Victorian artist, traveller and writer. As a landscape painter, diarist, poet, cartoonist and renowned writer of nonsense verse, Lear, like Lewis Caroll captured the Victorian imagination.

From Lear's own journals and drawings, writer and traveller Rob Horne retraces Lear's footsteps in the modern day, traveling from Thessaloniki through the wild and spectacular landscape of northern Greece, Macedonia and Albania. More...

David, having styled the whole 'History Night' packaging, using the distinctive blue and white palette of the channel, created typographic scenarios and illustration to engage and bring the subject to life. Agata Krasicka - Avid / FCP
Agata is a bright, super-fast editor whose friendly personality make her a pleasure to have around. She has much factual entertainment and reality experience, but also shows great promise as a documentary Editor.

Ash Jenkins - FCP
Ash's passion and talent for Editing has seen him work closely with Director Nick Broomfield since 2005. He has a strong understanding of structure, pace, timing, music and humour. He has excellent communication skills and works well with a director in sharing ideas and flexing to bring a vision together.

Sam Billinge - Avid / FCP
Sam is a young Editor with an impressive catalogue of documentary work under his belt. Very enthusiastic and a hard worker, he is a hands-on creative that brings a high level of commitment & energy to every project he approaches.. His previous staff position at Clear Cut Pictures has instilled an excellent technical knowledge.

Tom Cole - FCP
Tom displays exceptional talent, and has been responsible for multiple commercial successes. His key strengths are his technical knowledge matched with his creative flare and ability to realise complex projects. Energetic editing combines with a slick and polished look to excellent effect.

Phil Ashby - Avid / FCP
Phil works with speed and efficiency to create exceptional results. His work illustrates his creativity and intuition across a broad range of broadcast programmes.

DESIGNERS

Karl Hammond
Karl joins us straight from JJ Stereo, having created stylish and innovative design solutions for music and sponsorship promos. Incorporating 3D AE and Cinema 4D software with beautiful results. A creative self starter.

Simon Reid
Simon is an amazing talent with a good grasp of 3D software 3DS Max, Maya. Since leaving Flashback TV where he set up and ran his own GFX VFX department, he has taken the 3D world by storm.

Rachel Lipsitz
Rachel is a likeable and confident designer with two years freelance web design experience working for Saatchi & Saatchi interactive and Channel 4 www.worldofwonder.net and designing graphics for Zig Zag Productions. She has great Flash and web design skills.
