Kevin Smith – editor

In the Blueberry Spotlight this week is editor, Kevin Smith.

With over 12 years professional experience, Kevin is a keen and enthusiastic editor who enjoys the creative challenge of shaping a project. Formerly an actor Kevin has an excellent eye and ear for getting the best out of interview and presenter footage, focussing on what is most important to drive a clients story or message forward for maximum impact.

Kevin’s career highlights include using After Effects to create a dark vision of the world’s possible future for The Who together with twice daily online news packages from an event in South Africa. Kevin has also Edited various B-Rolls and cut packages for Nissan at the Geneva, Frankfurt, Paris and Moscow Motor shows as well as created high impact event videos highlighting results for year end performance using kinetic text to motivate and inspire Nissan’s sales teams. Kevin has crafted interesting and motivational stories for the RAF and Royal Navy for their recent recruitment short form documentaries.

He has worked on a variety of long form projects for broadcast including for Discovery, re-versioning American programmes to meet OfCom regulations and British broadcasting standards. Kevin has also worked as an online editor for Community Channel, audio mixing and colour grading various programmes including London 360 and Do Something Special to meet broadcast requirements.

Kevin works with various NLE’s and Motion Graphics packages, he is quick to offer solutions when it comes to problem solving and works well with clients and colleagues alike.
