Over the past eleven years, Jamie has had an unusually varied career, ranging from adverts, sizzle reels and music videos through to factual TV and award-winning festival documentaries.
Proficient and lightning-fast in Premiere Pro CC and Final Cut Pro 7, he is also a keen sound designer/mixer and film score composer. Jamie’s classically trained musical background, including distinctions in Grade 8 violin and piano by age thirteen, has helped to shape a highly intuitive grasp of audiovisual rhythm and structure.
His all-time highlight is “Trashed”, the 90 minute environmental documentary starring Jeremy Irons with music by Vangelis. It was selected for Cannes 2012 and won the Best Editing award in the documentary feature category at the 2012 LA Movie Awards.
Jamie has also cut the first ever Whicker’s World Foundation Funding Award Winner “We Were Kings”, premiering at the 2017 London Open City Documentary Festival, after being screened at Sheffield Doc Fest 2017.
