Cristina Patino Sheen – director / editor

We at Blueberry are privileged to meet great talent who inspire us on a weekly basis. This week the spotlight is on our most recently signed Peruvian born, London based talent Cristina Patino Sheen. Cristina directs, self-shoots and edits on promotional films and documentaries for London and US based companies.

Cristina’s most notable work as a director is a compelling documentary series of 16 films shot for the charity Amantani UK, titled ‘Meet My World’.  The films enable a group of children living in the Andes of Peru, to share share skills that they want to pass on.  The films are quite beautiful ‘how to’ and have been showcased in cinemas around the world.

Cristina also worked for a number of years at the prestigious Cine 70 Films in Peru as a commercials editor for national and international television, and cut her teeth editing commercials for creative agencies such as; Leo Burnett, McCann Erickson and Ogilvy.  Some of the brands that she has edited commercials for include Coca-Cola, Gatorade, Telefónica, Nescafé, BCP Bank, etc.

The long term ambition is to develop her unique visual skills to direct TV commercials. A really creative and competent one woman band, Cristina is definitely one to watch!

Joanna Morton – editor

We at Blueberry are privileged to meet great talent who inspire us on a weekly basis.

Editor Joanna Morton joined our books when she relocated to London from South Africa.

Joanna’s work spans a wide variety of genres – promos, branded content and TV commercials. She has worked with some of the top ad agencies in South Africa. Her career highlights include Bio Oil’s global TVC campaign in 2010, and Philip’s ‘Styles of Mzanzi’. She has been involved with a number of award-winning campaigns, including Volkswagen Street Quest.

Joanna was also the editor for the Unogwaja Challenge 2012, an epic journey made up of a 10-day cycle from Cape Town to Pietermaritzburg followed by the Comrades Ultra Marathon on day 11.

Joanna’s quiet confidence makes colleagues and clients feel safe, a quality she probably developed from working as a staff editor for two big companies, first Platypus for 4 years, then Hogarth South Africa for a further 3 years until her London move.

Joanna has a passion for putting the pieces of the puzzle together, and is looking forward to developing her British client relationships. We’re confident Joanna has the potential to become a client favourite.

Joan Solsona – editor

This week Blueberry’s spotlight is on Editor, Joan Solsona.

The first thing you need to know about Joan is: he’s a man. Beard and all. Originally hailing from Spain, his client base is decidedly international.

Two words come to mind looking at Joan’s work: understated elegance. His most eye-catching work is the latest Red Bull campaign World of Red Bull, starring Blake Griffin and scored by Pharrell Williams.

Joan’s portfolio naturally includes high end commercials for brands like Lancome, but also a breath taking commercial promoting Andorra through snowboarding. His eye for cutting edge content equally draws him to music videos (including Vimeo Staff Pick Adrian Seiber’s Round Round Song)  but also long form documentaries.

He’s proficient on AVID, FCP and Premiere.

Joan is a confident gem to work with, and would like to one day break into drama.
