HMRC IR35

IR35: Delayed until April 2021

The Government has announced a delay to the IR35 reform within the private sector, in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
Enforcement of the changes have now been deferred until 6th April 2021.

Although this is a deferral rather than a cancellation, it’s a welcome development for everyone in our industry. We’ll continue to keep you informed on the changes but for now, this news means that end clients within the private sector will not be required to make IR35 status determinations until 2021.

You can view the announcement made by Stephen Barclay MP, the Chief Secretary to the Treasury here
