A Sri Lankan/Australian raised in Japan, Suga has developed and honed a propensity for diverse storytelling across a range of genres, cultures, sensitivities and senses of humour. She is driven by the collaborative nature between filmmaker and editor to shape unique and memorable stories for a wide range of audiences.
She began in lifestyle programming before moving to Method Studios where she worked on a range of projects, from features and short films to commercials, documentaries and music promos. A recent PSA spot for ‘Cancer Council Australia’ won bronze at the AWARD awards as well as being recognised by the Cannes Lions, D&AD and the LIA.
Skilled in Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro, Suga is always looking for new challenges and stories to tell. She has most recently worked as a previs editor on Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and as first assistant editor (although she also cut scenes) on Down Under which premiered at the Sydney Film Festival.
