
Duncan Hart
Duncan is a highly experienced and creative editor, who possesses a unique skillset and an excellent understanding of narrative and technique. With over 20 years of experience, his work has been seen on all the major broadcasters worldwide.
Working across genres in both long and short form, he’s cut everything from commercials to sitcoms, documentaries and multi-cam studio shows. He is particularly skilled at pre-titles, sizzles and trailers having started his career in advertising and working extensively for Universal Pictures.
Duncan’s previous work in promos and as a comedy writer means he is far more than just a button pusher. He has a real flair for story telling with a light comedic touch, combined with a robust sense of timing. He’s also fast and decisive. He is particularly comfortable editing sound and music, having also dabbled as a composer and sound designer.
Duncan is often employed to create and hone VO scripts alongside his editing skills, including for Money for Nothing for BBC One and Jamie & Jimmy’s Friday Night Feast for Channel 4.
Combining genuine visual flair, superb storytelling and a real feel for sound, his ability to deliver quickly under pressure coupled with his sense of humour has led to many repeat clients. These include Fresh One, Blue Marlin and Rockerdale Studios.
