As a well-travelled observer of human nature and student of literature, Damian is passionate about storytelling and the way that ideas are communicated.
Starting out as a sound engineer and edit assistant in a New York post house, working on TV commercials, he then worked extensively as a short form producer and director – shooting and cutting TV promos, cinema trailers and branded content.
Damian evolved into a brilliant long form editor – applying his insight of narrative and structure to achieve purposeful creative in every job that he works on. Specialising in factual and documentary, his credits include ‘Accused: Guilty or Innocent?: After the Verdict’, ‘We Are England – Dementia, Music and Us’, ‘Africa: The Great Civilizations’ and ‘999: On the Frontline’.
His ultimate aim is to ensure that the story is told well.

In the five years since Keith and Joan were diagnosed with dementia, Manchester Camerata workshops have helped them cope and create new memories. This 30 min documentary, as part of the ‘We Are England’ strand, follows the couple while on holiday with other dementia-impacted families and carers. As they write and perform new songs as part of their music therapy, a music expert observes the group hoping to better understand the connection between music and memories. Shown on BBC One.
