Damian Townend BFE

Editor,

As a well-travelled observer of human nature and student of literature, Damian is passionate about storytelling and the way that ideas are communicated.

Starting out as a sound engineer and edit assistant in a New York post house, working on TV commercials, he then worked extensively as a short form producer and director – shooting and cutting TV promos, cinema trailers and branded content.

Damian evolved into a brilliant long form editor – applying his insight of narrative and structure to achieve purposeful creative in every job that he works on.  Specialising in factual and documentary, his credits include ‘Accused: Guilty or Innocent?: After the Verdict’, ‘We Are England – Dementia, Music and Us’, ‘Africa: The Great Civilizations’ and ‘999: On the Frontline’.

His ultimate aim is to ensure that the story is told well.
