Carla Mercer

Carla has over 15 years of experience as an Editor and Promo Producer, creating high quality video content for broadcast, online and social platforms – across short form and long form.

Carla moved to London in September 2022. Back in her native Australia (NSW), she grew a solid client list which included post boutiques, advertising agencies (Hogarth, BDA, DDB), commercial and subscription broadcasters (Sky, 7 Network, TVNZ, Network Ten, Foxtel) and production companies (Endemol Shine Australia, Screentime Australia, ITV).

Carla freelanced at BBC Studios for 3 years – editing and producing on-air promos, social content and hype reels for entertainment channels, specifically BBC First UKTV, BBC Earth, BBC Knowledge, CBeebies. She was also hired by ITV as Digital Producer of the app for The Voice Australia, series 5-7. This involved managing the programming of The Voice app for each phase of the show – including live broadcasts – ensuring an optimal user experience, as well as managing sponsorship and brand integration.

Carla has developed a wealth of creative, technical and communication skills. She brings strong storytelling, creative concepts and ideas. Carla’s a brilliant team player, adept at briefing and providing feedback. Pragmatic and always willing to lend a hand. She also has the advantage of being fluent in Italian and French.
