Planet Israel: A Cautionary Tale
Directed by Gillian Mosely, herself a British-American Jew, the film sets out to understand why the majority of Jewish Israelis support the way the war in Gaza has been fought – an inquiry that leads into questions of collective trauma, national identity and the role of media in shaping public perception. Drawing on interviews with historians, academics, commentators and everyday Israelis, IndieFEST describes the film as “exceptional investigative reporting seeking not to judge but to understand.”
