Mr. Alzheimer’s and Me – CBBC
This honest and moving documentary for CBBC reveals what life is like for three youngsters who have a grandparent with dementia and how it affects their relationships with them. Given their own cameras to record personal moments with their grandparents this is far from a downbeat film; Josh is determined to help his granddad remember and secretly gathers momentos for a memory box, Ella organises a sponsored walk and Hope’s granny gives Dementia a character.
The film was nominated for a Grierson Best Newcomer Documentary in 2015.
