Daniel Florêncio

Director, Editor, Motion Graphic Designer,

Daniel is a full-workflow filmmaker and editor with twenty-five years of experience across independent film, broadcast journalism, branded content and advertising. He produces, directs, writes and edits — and increasingly does all four within a single project. That end-to-end capability is particularly valuable in the current production landscape, where leaner teams and AI-integrated workflows demand creative operators who can hold the whole process.

Daniel has a thorough working understanding of AI-assisted production workflows, including generative image and video tools, large language model integration, and animatic-to-render pipelines. His approach to AI production draws on his background in animation editing: working in structured chunks, building animatics that allow elements to be changed, revised and refined before committing to full render. It is a discipline that translates directly into efficient, client-responsive AI production.

His commercial work spans some of the most recognised creative agencies in the world. He has collaborated extensively with Ogilvy, Publicis, Saatchi, Havas and R/GA on talent-driven international campaigns, with multiple Cannes Lions awards including Grand Prix and Gold for work on Dove, Beats by Dr. Dre, Google and others.

Alongside his commercial practice, Daniel runs I Made It Films, an independent production company with a current slate of four feature films across UK, Greece and Brazil. His short film Awfully Deep was shortlisted for a BAFTA and won the audience award at ShortShorts Tokyo. His feature debut Chasing Robert Barker won Best Action Film at the National Film Awards UK. He is currently in development on Once Upon a Time in the Forest with Oscar and BAFTA-nominated producer Fernando Meirelles (City of God).

He is Brazilian-British, London-based for over twenty years, and works in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
