Duncan is a highly creative editor with an excellent understanding of narrative and technique combined with over 15 years of technical experience with Avid, Adobe and FCP. His work has been seen on all the major broadcasters in the UK and around the world.
Combining genuine visual flair, superb storytelling and a real feel for sound, his ability to deliver quickly under pressure coupled with his sense of humour has led to many repeat clients.
Working across all genres in both long and short form, he’s cut everything from commercials to promos and documentaries to multi-cam studio shows. He is particularly skilled at pre-titles, sizzles and trailers having worked extensively for Universal Pictures.
Recent TV work includes 3 series of “Jamie Oliver’s Quick and Easy Food” for Channel 4, “James Martin’s American Adventure” for ITV, “Science of Stupid” for Nat Geo and 2 series of “Dara O’Briain’s Go 8 Bit” for Dave.
Duncan’s previous role as a director in commercials & promos means he is far more than just a button pusher. He has a real flair for story telling, a light comedic touch combined with a robust sense of timing. He’s also fast, making decisive creative decisions quickly. He is particularly comfortable editing sound and music, having also worked as a composer and sound designer.
