Gabriel Edvy, BFE
An exceptional editor and natural storyteller, Gabriel combines strong creative instincts with a high level of technical skill. She has a particular feel for humour and timing, bringing warmth, character and a sense of adventure to her storytelling. Curious and creatively ambitious, she enjoys finding the personality and rhythm that make each project distinctive.
Gabriel’s editing career began in 90s Chicago with music videos, followed by advertising and documentaries. Since moving to London, she has edited internationally recognised programming for all UK terrestrial channels, as well as National Geographic, Discovery+ and Apple TV+, bringing a strong visual sensibility to everything from entertaining, character-led journeys to complex factual storytelling.
Gabriel has edited episodes of The Reluctant Traveller with Eugene Levy across Series 2 and 3, including Living the Royal Life in the UK. The series was nominated for Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Series or Special and Outstanding Writing for a Nonfiction Program at the Primetime Emmy Awards in both 2026 and 2024, and won Best Unstructured Series and Best Travel/Adventure Show at the Critics Choice Real TV Awards 2024.
As Lead Editor on José Andrés and Family in Spain, Gabriel helped shape the series that won Outstanding Culinary Series at the Daytime Emmy Awards 2023, and was nominated for Best Culinary Show and Best Travel/Adventure Show at the Critics Choice Real TV Awards 2023. Gordon, Gino and Fred: The Ultimate Road Trip, Series 2 was nominated for Best Features at the BAFTA TV Awards 2019 and nominated for Formatted Popular Factual at the RTS Programme Awards 2019.
Alongside her television and film work, Gabriel is a music video director and published photographer who has created work for artists including Pink Floyd.
