Jason Bowes

Editor,

Jason is an editor and location director with 24 years of experience working on content for terrestrial and satellite television, including major sporting events such as the London 2012 Olympics and the World Cup. He has also worked on light entertainment, game shows, and documentaries for clients including ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, Sky, and CBS.

Jason’s career began at age 16 as a cable basher for a BBC cameraman. He has since gained expertise in camera work, sound, floor managing, and directing. He is known for his ability to troubleshoot and edit under pressure across a variety of genres, with a focus on storytelling and pacing.

“Working on news has given me the ability to make a decision, while sport has given me the skills to edit under pressure because there’s always a tight turn around there. And documentary work has shown me how to tell stories and to give something pace and time. The biggest thing I’ve learned as an editor is not to be afraid to let something breathe.”
