Colours Through Speed
This film was commissioned by Jaguar in partnership with Cancer Research. Jaguar had made a large sculpture of a double helix that they then painted with Jaguar colours. The object was then auctioned to raise money for Cancer Research and this film was made to accompany the sculpture at the auction to give a background to the design process, as told by Chief designer at Jaguar Sir Ian Callum. Mark really enjoyed this project, he edited the interview and picture.

Nathalie McGloin
This was a wonderful film to be a part of. It achieved a huge number of interactions on social media, as Nathalie’s inspiring story touched many people similarly affected with a disability. Mark was fortunate to have the rare opportunity to attend the interview, giving him a head start on the edit. Together with the Director he built the story you see in the film. Mark also chose the music and edited it in sympathy with the story.
Big Feastival – Social Media
Filmed daily at Jamie Oliver & Alex James’ annual food and music festival “The Big Feastival”. Mark would receive the rushes at the end of each day to work through the night editing content for official social media channels. This film captures “The Wheat Project”, a charming activity that allowed festival goers to experience making flatbread from initial crop harvest to baking and eating.
Filmed on Amira, edited in Premiere with grades and look in After Effects.

China Internship
This film was made to promote the internship scheme at Sussex University. Filmed in China and UK and with multiple interviews, Mark worked closely with the client to tell the story of three students who’d had a very positive experience on the internship.
DeWalt – Flexvolt Mitre Saw
The team at Parlourwood went off to the Isle of Skye to shoot this epic tool film. Having worked extensively with this client Mark was able to push this edit quite far. Mixing up C300 shots with the drone shots in an epic location really made for an exciting film. Mark also created the sound-bed using library music that needed to be significantly edited to work how we wanted it to.
FC Barcelona Femeni
This film was a promo for International Women’s Day and was commissioned by FC Barcelona women’s team sponsor Stanley Black and Decker. A really special film to work on. Mark particularly enjoyed working with different languages and for such a worthwhile cause.
Tool Connect
This film was interesting because it had such a strong look. It was filmed using anamorphic lenses to create the lovely lens flares you see throughout. The idea was to cut in and out of the backlight to create an exciting and tense promo for this groundbreaking technology. As well as the edit, Mark created the entire sound-bed from many different elements as we knew library music just would be bespoke enough. Wanting to avoid using the actual tool sounds Mark created bespoke sounds for each tool to maintain the surreal/futuristic feeling of the piece.
Robot Cleaner
Mark really enjoyed working on this project because it was beautifully storyboarded and very nicely shot; it had a really nice colour palette in each scene to work with. Mark enjoys editing commercials as the process of finding a seamless journey through while hitting all the check points of the product that the client demands is very satisfying. Mark’s edited many commercials similar to this one and always enjoys the more subtle, gentler approach required for these projects.
