Samantha Zarzosa
After starting her career at Nickelodeon as a creative, Samantha went on to work at BBC Creative Services for 4 years as a creative producer and editor. She produced high end shoots for CBBC and CBeebies and collaborated with graphic designers to produce stop motion, 3D animations and motion graphics.
She left full time work to follow her passion in filmmaking. She produced award winning documentaries (The Intimacy of Strangers / The Solitary Life of Cranes / Conversations with my Aunt) that featured in film festivals worldwide, including IDFA, Sheffield Docfest and Slamdance.
Samantha has an exceptional eye for rhythm and strong narrative skills having been a professional editor for over 10 years. Her principal software experience includes Premiere Pro and Avid. She is experienced in using After Effects and modifying existing projects. Sam is fluent in Spanish and moderate French. Recent clients include, Iberia, British Airways, Aquafresh, Audi, Sky, Nickelodeon, Dogwoof, Patron and many more.

A compilation of new TV series and films coming up on the Channel. this piece was used to promote the channel at the Comic Con Event 2018.

This reel was shown at an industry conference to feature talent and highlight new programmes coming up. I was given a very detailed and thorough brief which helped enormously when logging around 20 programmes. I edited this reel and selected the music.

A cinema trailer for an upmarket world cinema audience engaged in politics and social affairs. I was asked to weave the three women’s stories whilst hinting at the dark underbelly of modern day Iran.

For this promo I chose the music and viewed 4 episodes of the programme to select the clips. Samantha edited the music and promo and then went to an audio studio to oversee the sound mix and direct the voice over artist.
Postcards from London – Interview extra (Peccadillo Pictures)
Extras Interview with the Director and the Lead Actor – The client provided with a list of the themes that they were interested in covering. The brief was to create a 10min piece where we have the two interviewees interweaved together with scenes from the film.
