Simon Philpot

Simon is a highly experienced offline and online editor, working across a wide range of programming This includes documentaries, features, factual entertainment and sports. He is pro-active, working closely with producers/directors to create high quality shows, regardless of budget or time frame.

Whilst working quickly and efficiently under pressure, Simon is able to come up with smart, thoughtful solutions to difficult editorial problems.  Simon has a very strong sense of narrative thinking laterally to consistently produce strong, compelling, intelligent television. He is anything but a ‘button pusher’! 

Simon has a solid learning background having come up through the editing ranks at YTV over a number of years and has worked for many of the northern independent production companies – including True North, Mandrill Television, and Daisybeck Studios.
