Margarida Cartaxo

Margarida (‘Mags’) is an upbeat and confident young woman, with fantastic experience as an Assistant Editor. She spent 1 year as an Ingest Operator for an Arabic network, before an Edit Assistant role at Argonon Post across their slate of documentary programming.

Margarida was then accepted onto The Grierson Trust’s renowned DocLab In Focus: Editing. Her work placement was as Assistant Editor on Netflix documentary ‘Running With the Devil: The Wild World of John McAfee’. Here, Margarida logged all of the rushes and was in charge of exports for GFX and archive. She was assigned various segments of the film to edit alone, impressing the team with her storytelling ability.

Margarida is very organised and diligent. She also has a fantastic knowledge of Avid and enjoys sharing tricks that she’s learnt.

Margarida is particularly passionate about investigative projects and true crime, she really enjoys exploring the layers to their stories, trauma and resolution.
