Founded by London-based motion designer Philip Davies, Battlecat! Studios specialises in custom-made digital effects and illustrated short films.
Philip’s background is in traditional design and illustration and in his practice he like to explore the intersection between these disciplines and new technologies. Philip has eight years of experience working with film makers, production companies, musicians, artists and charities. He has produced Motion Graphics, Kinetic Typography, Animated Shorts, After Effects Character Rigs, Illustrative VFX and Multimedia Installations for everything from experimental live visuals to branded television content.
James is a London-based Motion Designer with over 10 years of professional industry experience working in post-production, both full-time and freelance, specialising as a motion graphic artist.
He is proficient with After Effects, Cinema 4D and Photoshop, working in the fields of animation, compositing, motion design and editing.
James’ commercial outputs include TV titles, animated films, online content, music videos, artists’ films and live events graphics.
Samantha is an experienced motion graphics designer with a demonstrated history of working in broadcast and social media advertising. She prides herself on being a 2D and 3D generalist, highly competent in After Effects and Cinema 4D. Sam is also passionate about character animation and typographic animation, as well as photo real rendering in Arnold.
She enjoys working with clients from conception to final output and is confident in storyboarding, creating assets, animation and editing. Skilled in using Premiere, Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, Audition, as well as plugins such as 3D element, Particular and Duik.
Previous clients include Apple, Bose, Kellogg’s, Nestle, Vodafone, Heinz, Mcdonalds, etc. Creating content for TV, Online, Internal and corporate film.
Nurbanu is a versatile and creative Artist / Director with a background in animation, illustration and documentary filmmaking.
She has expertise in delivering illustration, art direction, storyboarding, animation and editing services for editorial, commercial and social media works.
She likes to work on witty and colourful projects that are in touch with psychology, society, children and empowerment. She has worked for Lego, Science Museum, GE, Turkcell, Qatar Museum and Abu Dhabi Expo 2020.
She is an ex-New Yorker and Istanbulite but currently lives in London.
Neil Emmanuel has drawn his way into many roles as a motion graphic designer, storyboard artist, cartoonist / comic artist, children’s book artist, painter and photographer.
As the principle 2D motion graphics artist on the award-winning show “Time Team”, Britain’s greatest historical TV show, Neil was responsible for creating rich and informative content for over a decade.
Since going freelance in 2010 he worked for many channels; BBC, Channel 4, ITV, Nat Geo, History Channel, as well as production companies and films, using his artistic skills to create illustrated and animated motion graphics, storyboards and concept work. Neil spent a few years exploring the world of Event Scribing where he also mixed and learned from other talented artists and facilitators in a highly creative and dynamic environment.
Continually pushing his creative expression, Neil has completed his first historical children’s book with West Midlands History called “Hunting for History: Saxon Gold,” which is available on Amazon and and a mask making course with the Florentine master Agostino Dessi. Neil also teaches Storyboarding at Media Training LTD.
